TYPES OF FRAGRANCES Your favorite fragrance comes in many forms and you don't known which to choose...we say buy several and "layer" the scent to keep it going for hours! Your choices: PERFUME is the strongest, longest lasting. Apply at pulse points, from behind ears to inside ankles. EAU DE PARFUM is next in strength but lighter, to be sprayed all over-arms, legs, chest. EAU DE TOILETTE is still lighter. Apply as you do eau de parfum. PERFUMED OIL MIST is concentrated, lingers after bath or shower. SOAPS are lightly scented, won't last long. BATH & SHOWER GELS clean, soften, scent-lightly. BATH POWDERS/ TALCS absorb moisture, silken the skin, lightly scent. BODY LOTION/ CREAMS smooth and moisturize hands, legs, rough elbows, heels.

LIFE'S A DRAG
What actor/playwright David Drake, who first won fame in a performance in drag, said when asked in The Stranger, a local Se- attle alternative newspaper, whether drag was sexist:
"I don't know about sexist. I do know it can be misogynistic. It can be hateful. You can hate women and mock them, or you can love them and imitate them and reflect them. I think that's what Ru Paul does. He is glorying in his feminin- ity and his beauty and his glam- our. He's not saying, 'Look how monstrous I can be.' Even though he has the potential to be a mon- ster-he is so big and black and blond, and the teeth! He's saying, 'This is power.' Men, women-he blurs it."
DEATH TOLL TO REACH 8 MILLION BY YEAR 2000
The death toll from the world- wide AIDS epidemic will reach eight million people by the year 2000, warned the World Health Organi- zation at the International Virol- ogy Conference in Glasgow, Scot- land. According to WHO's Michael Merson, the number of those in- fected with HIV by the end of the decade will be approximately 30 to 40 million people. In addition, he says, an estimated 10 million people will have full-blown AIDS. Merson reports that 70 per cent of AIDS cases internationally are in sub-Saharan Africa. Abidjan, the capital of the Ivory Coast, reported the first case ever in 1985. AIDS is now the most common cause of death in the city. Merson also tes- tified to the rapid spread of the virus through Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean. He stressed the importance of effective AIDS pre- vention programs in developing countries that include safer sex education and condom distribu- tion. The cost for such programs would be $1.5 to $2.9 billion a year, but Merson says this could lessen the number of new cases in this decade by at least 50 per cent. [Just Out]
TRANSSEXUAL FEELS TRAPPED IN BODY OF OPPOSITE SEX Help:
A rather attractive woman, about 6'1" tall, with a distinctive but husky voice, started working in our firm three month ago. "Billie" made friends with everyone in-
stantly and is extremely compe- tent at her job.
A few days ago. Billie told me "she" is really a "he" and she plans to have a sex-change operation. I was stunned. I asked if she was going to tell her boss and others in the office and she said, "Yea, in time." She then asked me if I cared to go to the ladies' room and con- tinued the conversation.
Here I was, going to the ladies' room with a "man"/ Is Billie a Transvestite? Should she (or he) be using the ladies" room? Confused
Dear Confused:
A transvestite is a male who enjoys dressing like a woman. A transsexual is a person show feels that he (or she) is trapped in the body of a person of the opposite sex. Transsexuals sometimes opt for sex-change operations.
The Washington State Supreme Court decided recently that a busi- ness can fire a male employee who shows up for work in women's clothes and that he may not use a bathroom that is not "anatomi- cally correct."

CHANGE IS INEVITABLE
As those of us in the gender community know, the "Normie" world needs to accept the fact that diversity and change is not only inevitable, but necessary - and desirable if this olde world is ever going to exist in harmony and peace. One of my favorite sayings is: "The only thing etched in stone, is 'Nothing is etched in stone!""
[ALL THE BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE]
COMING OUT BY CAROLYN
Why do most cross dressers fear exposure? Why would our family and fiends be so upset by this knowledge? Would we be any less the person we were before, if we were caught in our skirts and makeup? These are just a few of the questions I ask myself. But the toughest question hasn't been posed as yet.
Some day I'm going to get caught with my panties down. As I cross dress more often and more brazenly, I stand a greater risk of exposure. Do we secretly wish to be caught, so with great relief, we may dress openly. If so, would we be happier? I think I would, But what a price we have to pay. The toughest question would now be asked How could you do this to your family and/or friends? What kind of pervert are you?
Is a perversion to be kinder, more gentle, more caring? I think not,, my wife tells me I'm a much nicer person as a women. I know I am. I try much harder to cultivate the sweetness of a woman. They truly are the nicer sex.

DEENA'S BITS AND PIECES
The double standard we hear so much about, certainly prevails. When a female rejects her feminin- ity, society hardly notices. When a male rejects his masculinity, he is called a queer, a homo, a swish.
Do I wish I was born of the female gender? Yes. I am a grand- father and a kindly one. But I would make a sweet grandmother, too. I soldiered through life as a male and portrayed the role very convincingly. Excelled in sports, years in the military, very macho. When I "came out" to my wife, she was astounded. I'm sure I've dis- appointed her, but, she remains my lover, my best friend. She wishes me to maintain the secrecy of my life. I do not want to embar- rass this lovely lady, or myself. And so the charade continues.
Why then, do I draw attention to myself by producing this ar- ticle? In the event of exposure I shall require a forum for my fam- ily and friends. I hope this article will serve as an introduction as I stumble through the justifications for my actions. That as a he or a she, or both, I am just me.
